The body requires glucose or sugar to be the source of the energy stored in the muscles of the body and all body tissues. Sugar is also important to the subject of energy for the brain to work optimally. However, the condition of diabetes causes the body can’t use sugar that goes into the body like the function that should be. This cause there was a lot of sugar that remains in the blood and cause serious health disorders.

Diabetes disease conditions are grouped into three categories, namely type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and diabetes gestational. But usually, the condition of diabetes starts with pre-diabetes or diabetes symptoms. This condition is caused due to sugar levels that are too high in the blood but has not yet entered into the stage of diabetes.

The Different Types of Diabetes Mellitus

They have any basic different;

Type 1 Diabetes

Type 1 diabetes is the type of diabetes requiring insulin for a lifetime. This is because of the pancreas in the body of the sufferer incapable of producing insulin. Insulin serves to transform sugar into energy in the body. As a result, there is a lot of sugar that continues to accumulate in the blood. The condition type 1 diabetes can occur in children, teens to adults.

Type 1 diabetes cannot be cured completely, but to attempt to do a treatment tailored to the needs of the body can make sufferers live a normal and healthy.

High Risk Diabetes type 1

Children up to adults can be affected by type 1 diabetes. Abnormalities in the cells of the pancreas that is triggered by bacteria and viruses in the body can lead to problems in the pancreas. As a result, then the pancreas cannot produce insulin.

The following are some of the causes that make a person vulnerable affected by type 1 diabetes.

Genetic factors.

  • Children born to parents who have the disorder type 1 diabetes have a greater risk for affected by type 1 diabetes.
  • Children between the ages of 4 to 7 years are highly vulnerable exposed type 1 diabetes.

  • Women who have experienced pre-eclampsia disorders during pregnancy.
  • Babies who are born with the condition have jaundice.

Type 2 Diabetes

Type 2 diabetes usually occurs in adults and the elderly. Diabetes is not dependent on insulin because diabetes is caused because the body has other ways of doing the metabolism. Type 2 diabetes can happen because the body doesn’t have enough insulin levels to break down glucose into the body’s energy. This condition causes the body to become resistant to the insulin produced by the pancreas, or when the pancreas cannot produce insulin in sufficient amounts.

Maybe in the body of the sufferer has a lot of insulin production, but insulin cannot be absorbed by the cells of the body to break down the sugar so the sugar levels in the blood continue to increase. The symptoms that arise because type 2 diabetes is basically almost the same as in type 1 diabetes.

Diabetes Gestational

Diabetes gestational is a type of diabetes that occurs during pregnancy. Pregnant women experience a special condition when the cells in the body can not absorb the sugar as a source of power so that the sugar will continue to accumulate in the blood. On a certain level then the sugar that keeps piling up could cause diabetes.

This condition appears as one of the special complications during pregnancy. This diabetes condition, in general, can be cured itself after labor. It’s just that pregnant women who have experienced gestational diabetes conditions have a higher risk for type 2 diabetes affected.
